We have an innovative approach to Independent Review Officer (IRO) work that drives care planning and we are looking for a skilled candidate who puts the child at the heart of what they do and will go the extra mile. As a Conference and Review Officer you will specialise in both IRO work and chair Child Protection Case Conferences. In Barnet we use the Strengthening Families Child Protection Conference model.
You will be an experienced child protection practitioner, with substantial team management experience or equivalent in child protection and work with looked after children. With excellent understanding of social work practice, process, relevant guidance and legislation, you will have the ability to chair complex multi-agency meetings to a high standard. Highly developed analytical skills are essential. Excellent supervisory support is provided and you will be given a range of opportunities that will enable you to achieve optimum professional development. You will have the opportunity to be involved in training, audit and project work with a focus on delivering continuous improvements in service delivery.
