SEND Reforms: Preparing for Adulthood

7KQHO64HU8The SEND reforms requires changes to processes and different ways of thinking about outcomes, co- production, and what it takes to support a young person to move into adulthood.

A number of helpful resources have been produced by the Preparing for Adulthood programme in partnership with Helen Sanderson Associates.

Extracts from the various publication may be reproduced for non-commercial research, education or training purposes on the condition that the source is acknowledged. More here: Developing a workforce that can deliver person-centred outcome focused EHC plans

The Preparing for Adulthood programme is funded by the Department for Education as part of the delivery support for the SEN and disability reforms and is being delivered by a partnership between The National Development Team for inclusion and The Council for Disabled Children.

Our mission is to help bring about improvements in practice and policy. Holding children at the centre of what we do through our work with and for them, we aim to lead and promote excellent care and services. The partnership consists of an elected Chair and elected Regional Leads who represent their regions at a national level (two from each of the nine regions within England).
