Call to action – kinship carers hit by the new child tax credit limit

Family Rights Group Petition: Exempt kinship care households from the 2 child restriction on child tax credit

There are around 200,000 children being raised by kinship carers across the UK. Kinship carers are grandparents, older siblings and other relatives and friends who step in to care for children, many of whom would otherwise be in the care system.

Our mission is to help bring about improvements in practice and policy. Holding children at the centre of what we do through our work with and for them, we aim to lead and promote excellent care and services. The partnership consists of an elected Chair and elected Regional Leads who represent their regions at a national level (two from each of the nine regions within England).
