TEMP JOB OPPORTUNITY – Brighton & Hove City Council are urgently seeking a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to work on a temporary contract for 8 weeks. The position is not office based so candidates need not be local to Brighton and Hove.
The role will be fully remote and you will be responsible for overseeing the management of enquiries and investigations related to allegations against those who work with children and young people.
Applicants must have:
*Social Work Degree/DipSW/CQSW or professional qualification in Nursing/Teaching/Youth Service etc.
*Extensive knowledge of child abuse/child development.
*Extensive Knowledge of childcare legislation e.g. Children Act 1989, Children Act 2004
*Minimum of 3 years Management experience within a Child Protection setting.
