Tackling Child Exploitation

Source Research in Practice Published 2023

Children and young people share what they would like to see from services protecting them from child exploitation and harm.

The Tackling Child Exploitation (TCE) Support Programme is a consortium funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and led by Research in Practice with The Children’s Society and the University of Bedfordshire. Since 2019, TCE has worked with local areas across England to improve strategic responses to child exploitation and extra-familial harm.

In 2022 the TCE Programme was commissioned by the Department for Education to develop multi-agency Practice Principles for responding to child exploitation and extra-familial harm by triangulating what is known from academic research with practice wisdom and expertise from lived experience.
