Parents with learning disabilities are entitled to have support to be able to fulfil their parenting role and have more opportunity to meet a ‘good enough’ parenting standard.
Parents with LD may suffer discrimination from professionals who have little relevant experience and who make assumptions about what parents with LD can or cannot do. This leads to parents with LD often fearing intervention from state agencies.
