We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Independent Chair. This is a full time qualified Social Worker post. The successful applicant will have a minimum of five years post qualifying experience working with children and families and ideally some supervisory experience. This is a county wide post and the office base is negotiable. A secondment would be considered.
The role of Independent Chair and Reviewing Officer serves an important function in reviewing and quality assuring plans for looked after children, and chairing Child Protection Case Conferences and Reviews. The successful applicants will be able to work under pressure, have an understanding of legislative frameworks and be able to engage with children and their families.
