An evening of talks, performances & conversation curated and led by young people, parents & kinship carers | @FamilyRightsGp

Our Families, Our Voices, 7.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. On Tuesday 30th March 2021

Family Rights Group invites you to an evening of talks, performances and conversation curated and led by young people, parents and kinship carers with lived experience of the child welfare system.

Family Rights Group’s parents’ and kinship care panel members have worked together to create this event. It is an opportunity to showcase lived experiences, through creative storytelling in order to effect changes to benefit the lives of children, young people and families. They will draw upon creative storytelling skills learnt before and during lockdown in workshops run by SoundDelivery in partnership with Family Rights Group. The workshops included sessions in audio storytelling, blogging, vlogging, public speaking, and also included Q and As with journalists and documentary makers.

This work highlights the importance of all of us listening to and learning from those whose lives are directly affected by our child welfare system.

We look forward to you joining us for this experience which we hope you will find informative, thought provoking and encourage you to get involved in promoting Family Rights Group’s aims and our work.

To reserve a place please complete the Eventbrite form as soon as possible: https://ourfamiliesourvoices.eventbrite.co.uk. Places are limited.

Confirmation will be sent out nearer the time with Zoom details.

This event has been supported by Lankelly Chase Foundation and COVID-19 extraordinary Home Office funding for domestic support services.
