Our Families, Our Voices, 7.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. On Tuesday 30th March 2021
Just a quick reminder of the “Our Families, Our Voices” event taking place next week. It will be an evening of talks, performance and conversation curated and led by young people, parents and kinship carers with lived experience of the child welfare system.
Family Rights Group’s parents’ and kinship care panel members have worked together to create this event. It is an opportunity to showcase lived experiences, through creative storytelling in order to effect changes to benefit the lives of children, young people and families. They will draw upon creative storytelling skills learnt before and during lockdown in workshops run by SoundDelivery in partnership with Family Rights Group. The workshops included sessions in audio storytelling, blogging, vlogging, public speaking, and also included Q and As with journalists and documentary makers.
This work highlights the importance of all of us listening to and learning from those whose lives are directly affected by our child welfare system.
This will be hugely informative and thought provoking experience. Do get involved.
