Care Review ‘focus on’ events

Yesterday NIROMP update from the Care Review Team. Please read, pass on and register for the event if you can:

Good afternoon,

As someone who has signed up for updates from the independent review of children’s social care, we wanted to let you know about the next in our series of ‘focus on’ events.

The panel discussion will be taking place on Wednesday 24 November, from 5.30 – 6.30pm. Josh MacAlister, chair of the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care, will be joined by an expert panel to consider the question: Local, regional, national – what is the best way to structure and deliver children’s social care to ensure the most positive outcomes for children and families?

This question is one of the ‘three dilemmas’ that the care review has been grappling with, outlined in our previous blog here: www.childrenssocialcare.independent-review.uk/thinking-out-loud-three-dilemmas/

The panel will discuss the pros and cons of different delivery models, including national or regional approaches intended to address the ‘postcode lottery’ or localised services designed around the needs of children & families within their communities. To ensure you receive a link to the event and to hear details of the panel members please sign up using the Eventbrite link below. The event will be held online and audience members can ask questions through the chat function.

The event will be recorded and available to view after the event – please be assured only panel members will be visible on screen.

To secure your place, you can sign up for a free ticket using this Eventbrite link: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/focus-on-delivering-childrens-social-care-local-regional-national-tickets-208488293097 We hope that you will be able to join us to discuss this important topic.

Best Wishes The Care Review Team
